Anime Club Director Edward Elric (SESP ’19) has announced he is “still making dad proud” after another tense seven minute phone call last Sunday.

“He still answers when I make our weekly phone calls, which is a good sign,” said Edward. “He likes when I talk about Dragon Ball because it sounds like we’re talking sports. The conversation took a turn for the worst though when he asked about the Big 10. I thought he was talking about my personal list of the ten best waifus, from Makoto Nijima to Koyomi Mizuhara!”

Sources close to the father and son relationship say conversation hit a boiling point when Edward asked for money to attend an anime convention in Pittsburgh.

Mr. and Mrs. Al Elric declined further comment

Members of Anime Club published a statement saying “We thought making him Director would help things, but it only seems to have exacerbated the situation. We apologize to the entire Elric family.”
